Think outside the box…

…the PIZZA box, that is. I’ve been toying with the idea of making pizza on the grill for quite some time. And sure enough, I was standing in Barnes and Noble, when this book called my name:

“Pizza on the Grill” by Elizabeth Karmel and Bob Blumer (yes! from Food Network’s “Glutton for Punishment!!”). It gives VERY good basic advice about how to grill pizza – tips, tricks, and recipes. I’ll admit to not making the dough from scratch (thank you Italian Store!), but that might be another evening’s adventure. We followed directions, rolled it out, grilled it up, turned it over and added our toppings. And I’ve got to say…for a first go of it, it was YUMMY. We put on some garlic infused oil, asiago, fresh mozzarella, proscuitto and arugula. Look how lovely…
